Several readers asked variations of the same question this week: Why do I review so many foreign cars? Am I ignoring Chrysler, Ford and General Motors? Shouldn't I pay more attention to vehicles engineered and built by the local automakers? I review every new vehicle from the Detroit Three, but I understand the question.

Some readers said the Cadillac SRX turbo I praised in my review last week is nothing more than an overpriced Saturn Vue: "Sorry Mark, but at over $50,000 it still looks like a glorified Saturn Vue with a bit of chrome."

Readers respond to my review last week of the Cadillac CTS-V and Jaguar XFR: "The only thing Cadillac has going for it is its name. The looks of the vehicle went downhill since the turn of the century."

Readers react to my review of the odd-looking Kia Soul. "The Soul is a cool-looking vehicle. I'm a UAW guy. Why the D3 doesn't make small, high-m.p.g. cars remains a mystery. My Neon just got 41 on a trip, though ... 100K+ miles on it."

Readers look forward to the European-built Ford Fiesta -- which I drove in Paris when covering the Paris auto show -- coming to the United States, but question why it will be 2010 before we see it.
